A Warm Welcome to Lillian Duncan Lillian talks about love and her new book. To celebrate her new release, she's having a fantastic giveaway. To enter follow the directions under To Celebrate My New Release, Walking Through the Rain.  What's Your Love Story? Yesterday was Valentine’s Day—the day we celebrate love.  Everyone loves a love story—even if you don’t want to admit it. But since it was Valentine’s day, it’s OK to admit this time. My latest release, Walking Through the Rain is Rachel and Brandon’s love story. And as Shakespeare said, the course of true love never did run smooth. Truer words couldn’t be spoken about Rachel and Brandon. I’m not going to give the plot away, but I will tell you that both of their mothers aren’t happy about their relationship so…. You can imagine what happens next. Like I said, everybody loves a love story so I’ll tell you mine. I’ve sort of known my husband my whole life. His brother was married to my aunt. NO, we aren’t related to each othe

Looking out the Window: Love, Romance, Flowers and the Aroma of Chocolate Are in the Air. Giveaway

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY        It all started in the Third Century when Roman Emperor Claudius demanded young men not marry because it distracted them from their duties as Roman soldiers. A priest, Saint Valentine, secretly married soldiers to their young brides. Then the Emperor demanded Christians deny their religion and worship pagan gods, but Saint Valentine refused, was arrested and condemned to die. While he waited for his execution, his jailer asked him to pray for his blind daughter. After she  miraculously regained her sight, the jailer and many others were converted to Christianity and were baptized. Before Saint Valentine was executed on February 14, 269 AD, he wrote a note to the jailer’s daughter and signed it “from your Valentine.” * Mercifully, priests and ministers don’t have to pay such a price today for marrying those in love, or praying for those in need, nor do we have to pay for loving or showing kindness to someone. Today’s a good day to spread love, give hugs a

Looking out the Window: Award-winning Author Linore Burkard Talks about her New Book, Forever Lovely. On pre-order for only $2.99

A Warm Welcome to Linore Burkard Get a special price of $2.99 on Forever Lovely while it's on pre-order! See below. Hi Linore, Tell us about your latest book. Forever Lovely is book two in a time travel romance series (Forever in Time Series) but it can be read as a stand-alone. It takes place three years after the first book, but rather than focus on the same characters, it takes the younger sister of one and gives her a coming-of-age sweet love story of her own. Familiar characters from book one are in it, but the spotlight is on Miss Margaret, the sister of Clarissa Andrews, and so it’s really quite a different sort of fun. And I emphasize the word ‘fun.’ While there are realistic themes of love, loyalty, family, and growth, there’s also comedy. (You can’t take a young lady out of Regency England and bring her to modern-day New York without some good laughs!)     What inspired you to write this particular book? I had originally planned to do a second book and told my readers

It's my pleasure.  I’m happy to share with you a Bible verse and a recipe, and tell you about my newest book! One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 10:9.  “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” I love this verse because it distills down the message of Christianity to its simplest elements. So often people add to the gospel, but it really all comes down to our belief in Jesus’ saving work on the cross. This verse tends to make its way into my writing. It’s in my latest novel, Moonlight and Mystery, when the heroine, Beth attends a carnival at a

Looking out the Window: Susan Spess Talks about Jordan Valley Roundup, the Third Book in her Jordan Valley Series. Giveaway.

A Warm Welcome to Susan Spess Susan gives away an eBook of Jordan Valley Roundup . To enter to win join the Rafflecopter contest below and leave a comment and an email. Susan Tells Us the Story behind the Story Some of my oldest memories are of rodeos. I’ve never participated in one, as much as I wanted to, but I love watching others. I was very young when I first watched my cousin ride barrels on my dad’s horse, Sparky, at the rodeo in the tiny town of Old Mannford. Dad must have enjoyed rodeos as much as I did, because we often attended different ones. When the International Professional Rodeo Association moved to Tulsa in 1971 for the 1970 rodeo season, my family was there. The next year, I was in college at Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri, so I didn’t get to go. (A big snowstorm hit while they were there, so they didn’t get home until around 2:00 am.) One of the first dates with my hubby was to the finals in 1973. We went with my family to the first night, and we went again

A Warm Welcome to Bettie Boswell Bettie will give away an arc of Hoping for Treasure . To enter to win join the Rafflecopter contest below and leave a comment with your email address. Hi Betty, first, tell us a little about yourself. I am a retired teacher for both primary classrooms and elementary general music. A few years before I retired, I decided to be an author. After many unpublished manuscripts, those dreams came true in 2020.  When I'm not writing, I enjoy experimenting with art materials and taking photos on walks around the neighborhood. My three grandchildren keep the grandma taxi service busy during the school year. At church, I work with the music where my husband is minister. I am not a big fan of cleaning house. Dust bunnies don't fear me. Many authors were avid readers as children. How about you? If so, what did you read? I enjoyed reading as a child. I loved Little Women and the other Alcott books. As a youngster, my mother read many Little Golden Books, B
